Calendar Blocks

Yeah!!!! I have finally made & finished my calendar blocks!!! I have wanted some ever since a few years ago when my mom had bought a set at real deals. I had seen the unfinished countdown block sets at the wood connection for a while but wasn't ever sure how to go about changing out the months because I didn't want to spend a lot of money making a different wood base for each month, not to mention the additional space I would need to store them to only pull out once a month. Then I found this pin on interest & the DUH!!!! Why didn't I already think of this moment happened. I did do mine a little different from the pinterest pin in that I laminated my months, mod podge & I don't exactly get along all that great & I'll be honest I was scared that somewhere down the road the tape would rip my paper because the mod podge had been worn off. So I used my Xyron to laminate them. :) I did use the same font because I thought it was super cute & have been looking for a font with curly "Y"'s for sometime.

This first set I made for my friend who is moving to California. She will still be working for our work, just remotely. She has done so much for me & I am going to miss her not being in the office so much! I thought this would be fun for her to have on her work desk @ home. :)

This second set I made for myself. I LOVE this paper!!! It's Mr. Campy by Cosmo Cricket. They no longer carry it & I am so sad. I have very few pieces of this paper left & was able to make the calendar blocks with scraps! I haven't decided if I am going to take mine to work or keep it on our computer desk at home. Either way it is sure to bring a smile to my face everytime I see it.

Happy Pinning everyone!

Valentines Present

I had a lot of fun making my present for my husband for valentines this year. I had seen this on pinterest. i liked the idea a lot but didn't care for how blank it was in cream and black so i decided to find some cute valentines scrapbooking paper and color coordinate from there and this is how mine turned out.

printable conversion chart for the kitchen & homemade Strawberry Oreo's

I repinned this conversion chart from a neighbor on pinterest and finally printed it out and put it up in my spice cabinet door. Sometimes its just nice to not have to think about my recipe calls for 4 cups how many ounces do i need to make sure i buy so i can make this or that. :)

Mine aren't printed in color, but you can print this out in the red as it shows on the post from pinterest.

I also made these Strawberry Oreo's for my coworkers. We have treat's on Friday each week its one persons turn to bring in a treat and today is my day. I thought these were good and cute because its close to valentines. Now i will admit i didn't make mine in to hearts i just did round cookies, but i think they still look cute and let's be honest when it comes to food does it really matter what it looks like? Personally I'm all about the taste. :)

Happy Pinning!!!
